When Kiran Rao revealed who is her favourite Khan and left Aamir Khan surprised [Watch Video]

Kiran Rao, the director of Laapataa Ladies, that is making all the right noise after this theatrical and recent OTT release, holds a deep admiration and respect for Aamir Khan, both as an individual and as an actor. However, her fandom extends beyond Aamir to another Khan of Bollywood – Salman Khan, the star of Tiger 3. In an old interview with India TV, a clip of which has been circulating on social media, Kiran was asked about her favorite ‘Khan’ in the industry. Shah Rukh Khan’s wife, she was told, favors Aamir Khan. When asked about her preference, Kiran promptly responded with “Salman.” A surprised Aamir, sitting beside her, asked “Why?” Kiran explained that she simply enjoys watching Salman on screen. She hasn’t seen all his films, but she’s always eager to watch him when he appears. She finds his charisma entertaining and particularly enjoyed his performances in Dabangg and No Entry. She even fondly recalled his first film, Maine Pyaar Kia. For all the TV news and Entertainment News updates, follow BollywoodLife on WhatsApp.

In March, Salman Khan shared a glowing review of Kiran Rao’s latest release, Laapataa Ladies. The indie film, backed by Aamir Khan, featured a cast that included Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan. Salman, who watched the film with his father, Salim Khan, took to social media (previously known as Twitter) to express his enjoyment of the film. However, his review contained a significant error. He mistakenly referred to Laapataa Ladies as Kiran’s directorial debut, despite the fact that she made her debut with Dhobi Ghat in 2010. Salman’s post read, “Just saw Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies. Wah wah Kiran. I really enjoyed it n so did my father. Congrats on your debut as a director, superb job. Kab kaam karogi mere saath?” This led to several social media users correcting him and reminding him that Dhobi Ghat was Kiran Rao’s first film. They even pointed out that Salman had attended the premiere. Despite the error, the exchange highlighted the mutual respect and admiration among the Khans of Bollywood.
