Anjali Arora opens up about comparison with Nitesh Tiwari’s Sita aka Sai Pallavi

In an interview with E Times, Anjali Arora confirmed that she is indeed playing the larger-than-life role of goddess Sita in the upcoming film Shri Ramayan Katha. The movie is based on the epic saga of Ramayan and will be directed by debutant Abhishek Singh. Sharing her excitement, Anjali stated that she competed with many actors to bag the role of Sita. However, the makers zeroed in on her as they saw potential in her to play such an iconic role. She also mentioned that as soon as she was confirmed for the role of Sita, she began her preparations by watching a lot of videos on goddess Sita and Ramayana, and attending workshops for the same.

In the same interview, Anjali also acknowledged that she is aware that her acting chops will certainly be compared to Sai Pallavi, who is also set to portray the role of goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana featuring Ranbir Kapoor. Talking about the comparisons, Anjali shares that if she will be compared to a Bollywood actress, she will certainly be happy.
