Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 2: Will Prabhas, Deepika starrer enter Rs 500 crore club in the first weekend? Here

Kalki 2898 AD is directed by Nag Ashwin and stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani among others in main roles. Well, the film also has cameos by SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Vijay Deverakonda. The sci-fi film opened at the worldwide box office with Rs 191.5 crore on Thursday. Kalki 2898 AD witnesses a dip in box office collection

Well, on Saturday the film witnessed a major dip on its second day as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The film earned Rs 95.3 crore nett in India on its first day, but on its second day, the film’s collection dropped by over 43 percent. Kalki 2898 AD collected Rs 54 crore. If reports are to be believed then, there is a major dip in its Telugu version as it earned Rs 65.8 crore on the first day and collected Rs 25.65 crore on the second day. The film saw 65.02 percent occupancy in Telugu on Friday. The film collected Rs 149.3 crore nett in India. In Kannada, it earned Rs 35 lakh on day 2 and in Malayalam, the film earned Rs 2 crore on day 2. Kalki 2898 AD managed to make Rs 55 crore excluding block seats in its booking collections in India. Kalki 2898 is set in the period between Mahabharata and on set of Kali Yuga. The film focuses on Kalki, the 10th and final avatar of the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu. It was released in theatres worldwide on June 27.

He is a bounty hunter who wants to live in a complex that is ruled by Kamal Haasan’s character. Will it surpass Rs 500 crore benchmark?
