Tom Felton joins Hansal Mehta’s web series Gandhi

Harry Potter actor Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy will also be seen in Gandhi with Pratik. He will play Josiah Oldfield, Mahatma Gandhi’s first and best friend during a period he spent in London when he was studying law. Pratik will play the lead role of Mahatma Gandhi in the web series.

Pratik Gandhi also shared pictures of other British stars joining the show. The series will also have British actors like James Murray, Jonno Davies, Molly Wright, Simon Lennon, Ralph Adeniyi, Libby Mai and Lindon Alexander. Speaking about joining the web series, Harry Potter star Tom Felton said that he is excited to be part of the journey of telling the story of Gandhi’s early years in London.

He added that it is an important aspect of history that hasn’t been told on screen before and it is honour for him to be working with Pratik Gandhi and Hansal Mehta. Talking about the web series, it will be produced by Sameer Nair’s Applause Enteertainment and as per reports, it is said to be India’s answer to The Crown. The shoot has been going on in London right now.
