Kangana Ranaut is an MP from Mandi and is spreading her wings as a politician. Now, the actress has announced the release date of her upcoming film. Kangana Ranaut will next be seen in a film called Emergency that is based on third Prime Minister of India – Indira Gandhi. She was India’s first female Prime Minister. It was during her regime that Emergency was imposed in India. The movie is all about that. The movie is going to release on 6th September, 2024. It is after several days that Emergency has got its release date. Kangana Ranaut shared the news by stating “The Beginning of the 50th Year of Independent India’s Darkest Chapter, Announcing #KanganaRanaut’s #Emergency In Cinemas on 6th September 2024.” She also termed it as the most explosive saga of the most controversial episode in the history of Indian Democracy. The actress also shared a new poster along with the announcement.

Emergency has been directed by Kangana Ranaut herself. The movie also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Choudhary, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and others in pivotal roles. When the teaser of the film was dropped, fans were quite impressed with Kangana Ranaut’s transformation. From her get-up to mannerisms like Indira Gandhi, Kangana sure left an impact on all.

Talking about the film, Kangana Ranaut also said that she is quite inspired by William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Adding that the essence of Emergency is the destruction wrought when ambitions go unchecked. She also added, “It is undoubtedly the most sensational chapter of Indian democracy and I am eagerly awaiting its worldwide release on 6th September 2024.”
