Diljit Dosanjh revealed that he did not find it necessary to charge for the song as Karan Johar expressed his interest in using it. He recalled the interaction with the filmmaker and said that he is not friends with anyone as such, if he has worked with someone once, and they need something, and if he can them, then what is the point? He said that the only thing that matters is what a person can do for someone that you know already. He said that it was nothing like he gave it for free. Diljit also said that if Karan paid him, how much richer would he become and also thought about it, that’s a good thing. But, he said that it is not that he is short of money and he also doesn’t need much. Diljit told Karan to use his song.
