He is essaying the character of Ravan in the theatre play Humare Ram. He is also someone who knows the nitty-gritty of Ramayan as he himself has written a popular book called Ramrajya based on the life of Lord Ram. While he is very particular about the history of Indian culture, how does he feel when today some filmmakers twist history to glorify one religion and degrade another? The actor said, “People shouldn’t do this. Nobody should make a film which jeopardizes the subject. Not only cinema, any story or any news, if there’s a hidden agenda, it can never be impactful. Be it cinema, society, media, these things are curated to resolve and not to create more issues and problems.” He further added, ”In our own way, within our respective fields, we need to be careful of such things. Even if there’s a difference of opinion, there’s no need to fight; it can be sorted with discussions.
